POLICY OVERRIDE CONFIGURATION SCREEN

Screen Navigation Path
Password > Main Menu > Security > Policy Override
When to Use
To undo any inappropriate policy setting that would prevent you from accessing Local
Management. (For example, assume that your radius setting allows you to log in, and you
accidentally set a policy that prevented you from logging in again.)
NOTE: To gain access to this screen to enable the override, you may need to use a
console connection to gain access to Local Management and the Policy Override
Configuration screen.
Setting the Policy Override screen to YES will cause the override function to go through and
disable all policies, and in effect set the switch back to a state where only the PVID/Port Priority
settings would be in use.
Policies can be in place without regard to the 802.1X setting, in fact the 802.1X does not have to be
enabled to use the policy manager.
How to Access
Use the arrow keys to highlight the Policy Override menu item on the Security Menu screen and
press ENTER. The Policy Override Configuration screen,
Policy Override Configuration Screen
Figure
9-4, displays.
