Overlocking Outside Corners

Stop sewing when you reach the end of the
fabric, leaving the needle in its highest position.
Raise the presser foot. Gently remove the
stitches from the stitch finger. Turn fabric. Align
the sewn stitches with the needle. Lower the
presser foot and pull up on the needle thread to
remove any slack. Sew.
If you are overlocking and trimming at the same
time, you should cut the fabric by hand at each
corner along the stitching line for about 3 cm
(1 1/2") before turning the fabric. Make the cut to
each corner before sewing begins.

Overlocking Inside Corners

1. Clip the inside corner

2. Fold the fabric into a straight edge
3. Unfold fabric and press it.

movable cutting blade should barely
trim along the fabric edge.
