NEWS
This function prevents the radio from se-
lecting local stations during AF searches.
It is possible to turn the function ON/OFF
by pressing the "NEWS" button for at least
one second during FM reception.
Program service name (PS)
The set displays the name of the station
instead of its frequency.
Display selection
DISP
It is possible to switch between frequency

and PS indications by briefly pressing the
"DISP" button.
NOTE
If no PS exists when PS indication is
selected, no indication is given.
Traffic information (T.I.)

When a station begins broadcasting traffic
information, this function causes the set to
automatically receive it so the driver can
hear it. If the driver is listening to another
audio source, the set breaks into that play-
back with the traffic information.
It is possible to turn the traffic-information
break-in function ON/OFF by pressing the
"T.I." button briefly (for less than two sec-
onds).
When the audio power is OFF, pressing
the "T.I." button causes the audio power to
turn ON and the traffic information break-
in function to be turned ON.
The display shows "TP" (for "traffic pro-
gram") while the set is receiving a station
that broadcasts traffic information.
The display shows flashing "TA" (for "traf-
