By-pass Bottom
Plate Drive Gear
Flat Section of Gear
The rotating By-pass Bottom Plate Gear turns two cams (one on each side) which raise (and lower)
the By-pass Bottom Plate. As the Bottom Plate comes down and the flat section of the By-pass
Bottom Plate Gear comes next to the Idle Gear, the By-pass Solenoid Lever stops the By-pass
Bottom Plate Gear. When it's time to feed the next sheet of paper from the by-pass tray, a new
cycle begins.
