NetBIOS Network Settings (Windows Me/Windows 98/Windows 95)
The printer driver is required for printing. Install the printer driver. (
Guide). When the printer connection screen is displayed during installation,
select Local Printer. Do not select Network Printer.
The port used by the printer changes after installation, so select LPT1 or any
desired port.
Follow the procedure below to select the port for the printer connection.
Install the NetBIOS/NetBEUI Port Monitor from the provided software
CD-ROM.
Mount the provided software CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
On the desktop, double-click the My Computer icon, double-
click the CD-ROM Disk icon, then from the File menu select
Open.
Open the Portmon folder.
Double-click the Setup (Setup.exe) file.
The installation program begins. Follow the instructions on the
screen to complete the installation.
In some operating environments, the Setup Menu window appears as soon as the
CD-ROM is mounted in the CD-ROM drive. If this occurs, click the Quit button
then follow the procedure above.
Open the Printer Properties dialog box.
On the desktop, click the Start button, point to setting, then
click Printers.
