13. OPERATING MODES

You can choose from 2 different operating modes: Manual mode or
Comfort mode�

Manual mode

Your stove will operate at a heating power that you pre-set�
By briefly tapping the PLUS BUTTON or MINUS BUTTON, the heating
output can be increased or reduced�

Note
Operation in the recommended range of 50% - 100% heating power
results in less sooting of the combustion chamber and door glass�

Comfort mode

Note
Comfort mode can only be selected if a RIKA room sensor is
connected�
In Comfort mode, your stove heats to a set room temperature that
you pre-set�
Press the OPERATION BUTTON to switch to Comfort mode� When
your stove is operating in Comfort mode, the POWER LEDs will be
lit orange�
By briefly tapping the PLUS BUTTON or MINUS BUTTON, the room
temperature can be increased or decreased within the range of 14
- 28 °C� Even-numbered temperature values are displayed at full
brightness, while odd-numbered values (e�g�: 21 °C) are displayed at
half brightness�

If the set room temperature is exceeded, the stove switches off and
changes into standby mode�

Standby

Your stove has a standby mode when Comfort mode is active� In
standby mode, your stove will automatically switch on when dropping
below the room temperature and automatically switch off when the
room temperature is exceeded�
When the standby mode is active, the OPERATION BUTTON is
continuously lit green� The heating power or temperature is displayed
normally�

Cleaning (hourly)

The cleaning phase serves to maintain the operational safety of
your stove� By increasing the flue gas fan speed and reducing the
pellet insertion, combustion residues are largely removed from the
combustion cavity� The cleaning process takes up to 3 minutes�
When your stove is carrying out a cleaning, the POWER LEDs will
flash and the OPERATION BUTTON will be continuously lit yellow�

Reset - Factory settings

To reset your stove to factory settings, press and hold the OPERATION,
PLUS and MINUS BUTTONs for 5 seconds� All LEDs then pulsate red�
To confirm the reset, press the PLUS BUTTON and to cancel, press
the MINUS BUTTON�
After the reset, your stove switches to manual mode with 70%
heating power�

Heating up without electric ignition

If the ignition cartridge of the appliance fails, emergency operation
can be carried out with firelighters (lighter cubes)� Begin by starting
your stove as usual� Open the combustion chamber door and place
a handful of pellets with the firelighters in the cleaned combustion
cavity, light them and then close the combustion chamber door�

Please note: Do not use flammable liquids to light the fire!
