WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the following
work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

<When using the sewing machine for the first time>
Lubrcatng ol has been taken out at the tme of delv-
ery. Be sure to supply lubrcatng ol before usng the
sewing machine for the first time.
• Ol used : JUKI MACHINE OIL 18
Remove ol hole cap 2 on whch "OIL" s ndcated and
fill the oil reservoir with lubricating oil up to the level
between the upper and lower engraved marker lnes.
<Checking before using the sewing machine>
1) Check ol gauge 1 and make sure that lubrcatng
ol level s between the upper and lower two lnes.
When lubrcatng ol level lowers below the lower
lne, supply lubrcatng ol.
2) Make sure that lubrcatng ol comes out from the
nozzle of oil circulation identification window 3 when
rotatng the sewng machne. When lubrcatng ol
does not come out, perform "Inspectng and replacng
the oil filter". (See page 22.)
The mechansms nsde the frame such as the needle
bar, presser lft and spreader components are lubr-
cated wth grease. Never add ol nsde the frame.
NO OILING
In case of the new sewng machne, replace the lubr-
catng ol (JUKI MACHINE OIL 18) wth new one after
usng t for approxmately one month. Then replace the
lubrcatng ol every sx months.
1) Set a contaner to receve the lubrcatng ol under
dran screw 1 .
2) Remove dran screw 1 . The lubrcaton ol s
draned.
3) After the dran, wpe out the ol and attach the dran
screw 1 .

Do not use oil addition agent since
deterioration of lubricating oil or machine
trouble will be caused.
If inside of the frame is oiled, the grease will
be expelled, resulting in mechanical failure.
