Preventive Maintenance

Preventive Maintenance covers all actions that prevent downtime.

Preventive Maintenance Schedule

Prevent unscheduled downtime with the following preventive maintenance schedule.
Daily
Check Box PC status
Monitor storage devices that do not
comply to the Omron specifications
Weekly
Clean the Box PC
Ensure you have the latest soft-
ware updates
When changing applications or
configurations
Create a backup of the IPC Ma-
chine Controller
Periodically but at least every 6
months
Check the ambient environment:
•
Temperature and humidity within
specifications
•
Noise sources not close to the
Box PC
Check installation:
Box PC mounted secure
Check wiring and connections:
•
Cable connectors fully inserted
and locked
•
No damaged wiring or connec-
tors
For a cooling layer with removable
cover:
•
Check the battery replacement
date on the label at the inside of
the Cover.
•
Replace the battery before the
replacement date.
Check the backup and repair me-
dia.
