Registering a Remote Party

Register name of a remote party in the Index box.
For details on how to input, see "Entering Characters" on
page 71.

Enter the telephone number and the sub-address for the
remote party in the A1 and A2 boxes.
If the remote party has multiple telephone numbers, enter
the first number in the A1 box and the second number in
the A2 box.
Enter the asterisk ( ) after the telephone number, then
enter the sub-address. You cannot use the alphabet in a
sub-address.

Press the EXEC button on the Remote Commander.
The Dial Setup menu appears on the monitor screen.

Set up the following items:
LINE I/F: Selects the line interface.
ISDN RATE: Selects the ISDN transfer rate.
AUDIO MODE: Selects the protocol for digital audio
encoding of the audio.
VIDEO MODE: Selects the protocol for digital audio
encoding of the video.
CAMERA CONTROL: Selects whether to control the far
end camera.
DATA: Selects whether to have a T.120 data meeting.

the Dial Setup Menu" on page 26.
• To select an item to be changed, select it with the joy
stick on the Remote Commander, then press it.
• To set up an item, select a setting with the joy stick on the
Remote Commander, then press it.
• To cancel the setup, press the CANCEL button on the
Remote Commander.

Press the EXEC button on the Remote Commander.
The registration is completed, and the Dial List menu
appears again.
Note
The setup in step 6 lets you make a call to a remote party.
To modify an entry
You can modify the name and telephone numbers of an entry.

Select the Index title to be modified in the List Input menu
with the joy stick, then press it.

Modify the entry.

Press the EXEC button on the Remote Commander.
The entry is modified.

Deleting Registered Remote Parties

You can delete a registered entry as follows.

Press the LIST button on the Remote Commander.
The Dial List menu appears on the monitor screen.

Select the Index title to be deleted with the joy stick.
