Configuring the Seed

Here is an example:

A Mobility Domain is a collection of WX switches that work together to
support a roaming user. A user can roam across the network from one
WX switch to another while maintaining the same IP address and session.
Each Mobility Domain has one seed member that maintains a list of the
system IP addresses of all the members. Nonseed members communicate
with the seed initially to retrieve and store the IP connectivity information
of other WX switches, and subsequently if configurations of member
switches change or switches are added or deleted. For normal operation,
the seed switch need not be available for the rest of the Mobility Domain
to function.
All WX switches in a Mobility Domain use their system IP addresses as a
basis to communicate. To support the services of the Mobility Domain,
the system IP address of every WX switch in a Mobility Domain requires
basic IP connectivity with the system IP addresses of all other WX switches
in the Mobility Domain. (For configuration information, see "Specifying a
System IP Address" on page 59.)
To configure the current WX switch to be the seed of a Mobility Domain,
use the following commands:
set mobility-domain mode seed domain-name mob-dom-name
To specify the WX switches that are members of the Mobility Domain, use
the following command:
set mobility-domain member ip-addr
Enter the system IP address of the member switch. You do not need to
enter the subnet mask. Repeat the command for each member.
