After pressing the button, the doors
will lock automatically unless you open
any door within 30 seconds.
Trunk unlocking (3)
If you are within 0.7 m ~ 1 m (28 ~ 40
in.) from the outside trunk handle, with
your smart key in possession, the trunk
will unlock and open when you press
the trunk handle switch.
The hazard warning lights will blink
twice to indicate that the trunk is un‐
locked.
Also, once the trunk is opened and then
closed, the trunk will lock automatically.
Start-up
You can start the engine without in‐
serting the key. For detailed informa‐
tion refer to "Starting the engine with a
smart key" on page 6-07.
Remote start (4, if equipped, for
Middle East)
You can start the engine and turn on
the climate system by pressing the re‐
mote start button (4) outside the vehi‐
cle.
To start and stop engine remotely :
1. Press the door lock button (1), and
then the hazard warning lights
blink once to alert you.
2. Press the remote start button (4)
for more than 2 seconds to start
engine within 4 seconds after
pressing the door lock button (1).
3. While remote starting, the hazard
warning lights blink. If you want to
stop the engine, press the remote
start button (4) again.
The climate system will be continuously
maintained, as selected when the en‐
gine is restarted. If the climate system
turned off before you stopped the en‐
gine, the climate system does not op‐
erate when you start the engine re‐
motely.
If someone without a designated smart
key rides your vehicle while remote
starting, the engine is automatically
stopped for security.
NOTICE
After remotely starting the engine,
the engine will turn off automatical‐
ly after 10 minutes if you do not
ride your vehicle.
CAUTION
• The remote start will not work if
you exceed the operating distance
limit (about 10 m).
• Avoid idling the engine for pro‐
longed periods to obey the emis‐
sion regulations in your country.
• Laws in your country may restrict
the use of remote start.
You should check country regula‐
tions before using this remote
starting system.
• It is only possible to start the en‐
gine remotely when the shift lever
is in P (Parking) position.
• If the hood or the trunk is opened,
you can't start the engine remote‐
ly.
