7.3 First commissioning of the 3RW5 HMI High Feature

Procedure
1. Push the wire through the openings provided.
2. Seal the wire to secure the hinged cover against unauthorized opening.
Result
By sealing the hinged cover, you protect the operator controls of the 3RW51 soft starter from
unauthorized access. Acknowledging messages is still possible.
Tip
If you install the 3RW5 HMI High Feature (accessory) outside of the 3RW51 soft starter, use an
anti-tamper seal on the interface cover to protect the local interface and the slot of the micro SD
card from unauthorized access. Proceed in the same sequence as for sealing the hinged cover.

• 3RW5 HMI High Feature (accessory)
• Power supply (control supply voltage) is connected for the first time or the factory settings
have been restored on the 3RW5 HMI High Feature.
