9.5 Faults and remedial actions on the 3RW5 HMI High Feature
Cause
Irrecoverable error detec‐
ted following self-diag‐
nostics (self-test, contac‐
tor contacts, switching el‐
ement, etc.).
The power switch or
the power supply is
not correctly connec‐
ted.
No current
The temperature in the
components has excee‐
ded the highest permissi‐
ble limit.
Cause
Unrecoverable error detected af‐
ter internal diagnostics (self-test,
etc.).
The firmware is incomplete
and/or the firmware expansions
are incomplete or incompatible.
Remedy
Switch off the power supply
(control supply voltage) for at
least 5 seconds and switch it on
again. If the device error is still
present proceed as follows:
Please contact Technical
Support (Support Request
(Page 11)).
Replace the device.
Check the cables and the cable
connections and replace any
defective components.
Check the ambient tempera‐
ture or the control cabinet ven‐
tilation.
Remedy
Replace the device.
Run a complete firmware update.
Check any error messages that occur.
Check to see whether or not the firmware update
was aborted.
