10.4 Restore factory setting
Procedure
1. Make sure that the motor is switched off and you do not start the motor while restoring the
factory settings.
Make sure that the main voltage is only applied to the 3RW5 soft starter when it is necessary.
2. Restore the factory settings.
The following procedures are possible:
– With a fieldbus via a 3RW5 communication module (depending on the respective 3RW5
– Via the 3RW5 HMI High Feature
Result
The factory setting of the selected device or all devices is restored.

Restoring the factory settings via 3RW5 HMI High Feature

Requirements
• Make sure that the motor is switched off and that you do not start the motor while restoring
the factory settings. To ensure the quickest and most fault-free restoration of the factory
setting, it is recommended that you disconnect the main voltage (operating voltage) at the
3RW51 soft starter.
• 3RW5 HMI High Feature (accessory)
Menu: "Parameters > Factory settings"
• Access protection to 3RW5 HMI High Feature is not active or has been removed.
• The 3RW5 HMI High Feature (LOCAL) has master control.
Procedure
1. Select the desired menu item.
– Soft starter
– Communication module
– HMI High Feature
– All devices
2. Confirm the menu item by pressing the OK key.
