Blurring white streaks between text and background (black overprint)

If there are white streaks and other gaps between black text and colored backgrounds, you can eliminate
them by printing black text over colored backgrounds.
 This function is not applicable to some applications.
 This function is applicable when black text is printed over colored backgrounds.
 If the toner layer is too thick, the toner may not be fixed securely.
For Windows PCL printer driver

Open the file to be printed.

Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

Click [Preferences].

Select the [Job Options] tab and click [Advanced].

Change the setting of [Overprint Black] to [ON], and click [OK].

Specify other settings as necessary, and click [OK].

Click [Print] in the [Print] screen.
For Windows PS printer driver

Open the file to be printed.

Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

Click [Preferences].

Select the [Color] tab, and click [Advanced].

Check [Black overprint], and click [OK].

Check [Black Overprint] in the [Quality1] tab.

 If there is no detail settings displayed in the [Print] screen, click [Show details] at the bottom of the screen.

Inconspicuous white streaks in color superposition (trapping function)

If white or colored streaks appear between overlapping objects, you can use the trapping function to make
them less noticeable.
