Reassembling the scanner optics unit

1. Connect the flat cable [A].
2. Cable holder [B] (! x 1)
3. Make the front edge [C] of the scanner optics unit hold the white part [D] of the
timing belt.
4. Put the scanner optics unit shaft through the hole [E] and attach it to the shaft
supports.
5. Connect the lamp cable. (☛ 3.2.11 Installing the exposure lamp)
6. Loosen the screw of the tension bracket [F].
NOTE: The tension bracket is automatically adjusted by its spring when you
loosen the screw.
7. Tighten the screw of the tension bracket [F].
NOTE: Check if the movement of the scanner optics unit is correct. To do this,
turn the pulley a few times.
8. Clean the scanner optics unit shaft and the rail with a cloth and alcohol.
