4. Edit CONFIG.SYS to add the following line:
OEVICE=C:\CMLIB\ASYNCOOB.SYS COM1
Notes:
a. If you are using a PC/AT* or a PCIXT* equipped with an 80286
microprocessor, use ASYNCDDA.SYS instead of ASYNCDDB.SYS.
b. Open your CONFIG.SYS file and search for the line:
OEVICE=C:\OS2\COMxx.SYS (where xx = 81, 82, or 83)
If you find it, insert this line before it:
ASYNCOOB/A
5. Press Ctrl and Esc to go to Task Manager.
6. Select Start Programs to display the main menu.
7. Select Communication' Manager (this takes ten seconds to load).
8. When the CMM Menu appears, go to the top of the screen and select
Advanced.
9. Select Configuration.
10. Type
MOSSLOC,
then press Enter. The Communications Configuration menu
displays.
11. Select Workstation profile.
12. Select Change and customize as follows:
Error log file name
Error log size
Error log overflow option
Message log file name
Message log size
Message log overflow option
Enable auto-start options
ERROR.OAT (for example)
16 (for example)
WRAP
MESSAGE.OAT (for example)
588 (for example)
WRAP
YES
13. Press Enter to go to the next screen, and continue with the Auto-Start Options:
• ACOI service
• ASCII terminal emulation
• 3278 terminal emulation (OFT)
• 3278 terminal emulation (SDLC)
Display this screen first:
• Communication Manager main menu
• ASCII Terminal Emulation
• 3278 Terminal Emulation
14. Press Enter. The message The profile has been saved displays.
15. Select Asynchronous feature profiles.
16. Select Asynchronous communication port profile.
