4-6 Troubleshooting
HDTV Interface Board error messages
Following is a list of error messages displayed by the
Hardware Properties tool for the DMW-IF02 HDTV
Interface Board, with steps to take to deal with the
error.
Error message/Symptom
ERIF1001:
Can't find API
ERIF1002:
Can't Connect Kernel Mode Driver
ERIF1003:XXXX
Realtime Video Processing Board error messages
Refer to the Realtime Video Processing Board Installation
Manual.
SDTV Realtime Processing Board error messages
Refer to the SDTV Realtime Processing Board Installation
Manual.
Disk Utility self-diagnostics error messages
Following is a list of error messages displayed by the
Disk Utility self-diagnostics function (see page 4-13),
with steps to take to deal with the error.
Error Message
Please Log on as Administrators...
Could not execute Dmwdutil.
Cannot get Driver Handle.
Device did not respond...
FC Error! HDD- "node name"
The result of SRAM check at FC
Controller "id" was NG.

HDTV Interface Board Error Messages
Description
Sicard.dll cannot be found in the
expected location.
Device driver cannot be connected.
DMW-IF02 board is not operating
properly.
Disk Utility Self-Diagnostics Error Messages
Description
The logged in user is not a member of
the Windows Administrators Group.
The device driver is halted.
The device driver is not installed.
The DMW-STA001 board is not
responding.
There is a problem with the connection
to the hard disk drive shown by "node
name".
The hard disk drive shown by "node
name" is broken.
The SRAM of the Fibre channel
controller number "id" is faulty.
Steps to take
Contact your Sony service
representative.
Turn off the operating system and check
to be sure that the PCI card is firmly
seated in its slot. If the problem persists
after you power the Digital Media
Workstation and start the operating
system, contact your Sony service
representative.
Contact your Sony service
representative.
Steps to take
Login as a member of the Administrators
Group.
Restart the device driver.
Contact your Sony service representative.
Restart the system. If the problem
persists, contact your Sony service
representative.
Check the connection to the hard disk
drive.
