4-6 Troubleshooting

If you think the system may be faulty, check the
explanation in this sections. Contact your Sony service
representative and take the indicated steps if you find a
description of the problem.

4-6-1 Error Messages

Various types of error messages are displayed to alert
you to errors in the Digital Media Workstation. This
section explains the types of error messages displayed
by the system.
POST error messages
The POST (Power On Self Test) program starts
automatically when you power the Digital Media
Workstation on. If an error is discovered during the

Note
Before contacting your Sony service representative,
make a note of the code (0200 and so on) that appears
at the beginning of an error message, or of the error
message itself if no code appears. The service
representative will need this information to identify the
problem.
