t Install the special network driver for the Digital Media Workstation. Also check that protocols such
as TCP/IP have been installed and set up, and that Windows services have been set up.
Check whether the transmission speed setting is correct.
t The Digital Media Workstation's internal LAN controller can be used on 1000 MB/s, 100 MB/s or 10
MB/s networks. The transmission speed can be switched or set from the operating system, but do
not use the Auto Detect Function. Set the speed to either 100 or 10. Also, check that the speed and
duplex mode are the same as those of the connected hub.
Caution
Before sending the Digital Media Workstation in for
repairs, you should make backup copies of the
programs and data stored on the system's hard disks
and storage media. Sony Corporation shall not be
liable for any loss or modification of data that may
result from repairs to the system.
It is not possible to recover programs or data if the
hard disks or other storage media themselves are
damaged.
