Service Manual
Removal:
1. Remove the face plate, arm top cover, face plate and lamp mounting bracket, needle
bar, needle threader assembly and vibrating bracket assembly.
2. Turn handwheel making screws (A) and (B) to come to sight and then, loose these
screws just enough to allow stud (D) to be removed.
3. Remove thread take-up assembly (C), stud (D) and needle bar connecting link (E).
Replacement:
1. Replace these parts the same way as described above, but in a reverse order.
Make sure to lean stud (D) against connecting link (E) in a way that no axial play can
be noticed on connecting link.
2.
Adjust needle location in the needle plate slot and needle to hook relationship.

3.
Check hook timing and needle bar height and presser bar height and adjust if necessary.
(See pages110-111 and 84-85).
4.
Adjust presser bar alignment and height.
