CAUTION
Nortel does not support 8001AC and 8002DC power supplies with
R modules. R modules installed in the 8006, 8010, or 8010co
chassis require the 8004AC, 8004DC, 8005AC, or 8005DC power
supplies.
CAUTION
The 8004 and 8005 power supplies have different power ratings.
Therefore, Nortel recommends that you do not operate the
Ethernet Routing Switch 8000 Series chassis with a mix of power
supply models (8004 and 8005).
If you upgrade the Ethernet Routing Switch 8000 Series and have
a redundant power configuration, you can hot-swap the 8004
power supply with the 8005 power supply while the Ethernet
Routing Switch 8000 Series remains in operation. Do not operate
the chassis with a mix of power supply models for an extended
period of time.
Upgrade the power supplies before you upgrade the modules.
