3-6 Precautions for Power-Save Mode

3-6-1 Conditions for Entering in Power-Save Mode
The power save mode starts if the standby continues for 4 min. 30 sec. while the following
conditions do not satisfy.
During CI reception
During the automatic redial standby
3-6-2 Operation in Power Save Mode
The following is the operation in the power save mode.
SDRAM is saved.
RTC data is saved.
3-6-3 Return from Power Save Mode
Satisfying any of the following conditions returns from the power save mode.
CI detection
Handset on-hook
Ext. TEL on-hook
Setting a document to ADF
Pressing any key on the main unit
DTMF detection

3-7 FINE Cartridge Handling

3-7-1 Opening FINE Cartridge Package
Never open the FINE cartridge package until you start using the cartridge.
Remove the protective seal on the nozzle carefully when installing the FINE cartridge to the
printer.
3-7-2 Nozzle Protection
Never touch or wipe the FINE cartridge nozzle with a tissue paper etc. It prevents from fixing the
ink at the nozzle. Never leave the FINE cartridge after removing the protective seal. The ink may
dry, and fix the nozzle.
Never assemble and disassemble the FINE cartridge. Never water-wash the FINE cartridge. It
equips a current board. White line may appear on printed letters cyclically if ink clogs in FINE
cartridge. Replace the FINE cartridge with new one if the cartridge cleaning (5 times in
maximum) does not resolve the symptom.
