2-3 Not Displayed Error

Check the following items according to the symptom. Replace an applicable unit with new one if
the symptom is not resolved.
2-3-1 Defect
SYMPTOM
The power does not turn
ON.
The power turns OFF
immediately after turning
the power ON.
Strange noise occurs.
Nothing is displayed on
the LCD.
The LCD is not
displayed partially.
Paper feed defect
(Multi-feeding, skewed
feeding, no feeding).
Carriage movement
defect
(Interference with other
parts, strange noise).
Reading defect (no
reading, strange noise).
The operation panel
buttons are not
available.
The speaker outputs no
sound.
*: Check the waste ink level before replacing the Main Board ass'y. Register the ink level to new Main
Board ass'y.
Replace the lithium battery installed in the Main Board ass'y with new one.
Refer to Part:1-4-2 Precautions for Main Board ass'y Replacement and
CONFIRM
- Check the connection between the
power code and the machine
- Check the connection between the
Main Board ass'y and the power supply
unit.
- Check the power supply unit and the
power code.
- Remove foreign material.
- Check the operation of moving parts
(e.g., purge unit, carriage unit and paper
feeding mechanism).
- Check the connection among the
operation panel, the reader unit and the
Main Board ass'y.
- Perform the button and LCD test in the
service mode. Check if the LCD is
displayed without missing segments.
- Check the connection between the
operation panel, the reader unit, and the
Main Board ass'y.
- Check the inside of the main unit.
Check if no part is damaged. Check if
rollers are clean.
- Remove foreign material.
- Adjust the paper guide properly.
- Check the connection of each harness
and the logic board.
- Check that the carriage timing slit
stripfilm is free from damage or grease.
- Clean the carriage timing slit stripfilm
(with ethanol and lint-free paper).
- Check the connection between the
reading unit and the logic board.
- Check the connection among the
operation panel, the reader unit and the
Main Board ass'y.
- Check the connection between the
Speaker ass'y and the Main Board ass'y.
