1-4 Ink Level Detection Function

This machine equips the ink level detection function.
Detection: Dots count
Indetection: "Ink" LED
"Ink" LED turns OFF: Ink remains
"Ink" LED turns ON: LOW1
"Ink" LED blinks: LOW2
Precision: Approximately ±10% error in the normal printout
The margin of error may become large in the following printout pattern.
BK continuous printout may lead the BK ink level misdetection.
The ink refill timing delays in this mode. The FINE cartridge ink passage is blocked.
The FINE cartridge ink does not use fully.
Possible Trouble
The ink level detection function does not activate properly if you remove the FINE
cartridge, and then reuse any spent FINE cartridge (except for the preceding FINE
cartridge).
e.g., In a case that you install any spent FINE cartridge:
Remove the using cartridge. → Install new FINE cartridge. → Install the removed FINE
cartridge again.
The error message "NO INK" is indicated if you remove the using FINE cartridge, and
then reinstall the same FINE cartridge again after installing any empty FINE cartridge.
The actual ink level differs from the indicated ink level due to special print patterns.

1-5 FINE Cartridge Position Adjustment Function

This machine equips the FINE cartridge position adjustment function. The function adjusts the
print misalignment.
When FINE Cartridge Position Adjustment Function Is Effective
Perform the FINE cartridge position adjustment function if any of the following troubles occur.
Ruled line offset
Print blur
