PROBLEM
Motor is slow or weak.
Motor overheats.
Motor stalls, blows fuse, or trips circuit
breaker.
Rip fence does not move smoothly.
Wood edges away from rip fence
when ripping.

TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT.)
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Voltage from electricity source is
low.
2. Windings are burned out or open.
3. Power switch is defective.
4. Circuit is overloaded with
appliances, lights, or other motors.
1. Motor is overloaded.
2. Dull saw blade.
3. Sawdust inside table saw is
blocking air flow.
1. Power switch is defective.
2. Voltage from electricity source is
low.
3. Dull saw blade.
4. Fuse or circuit breaker is wrong
size or defective.
5. Feeding workpiece too rapidly.
1. Rip fence is not mounted correctly.
2. Rails are dirty or sticky.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
1. Request a voltage check from the
power company.
2. Have the motor checked by a
qualified technician.
3. Have the power switch replaced by
