– Insert the suction hose in the
crankcase.
– Lubricate grommet with a little oil.
: Use a blunt tool to push the
suction hose into the crankcase
so that the tab locates in its seat
at the bottom right (arrow).
Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.

11.2

Valve

11.2.1 Cleaning

A valve is installed in the tank wall to
keep internal tank pressure equal to
atmospheric pressure.
– Remove the oil tank cap.
– Drain the oil tank.
Collect chain oil in a clean container
or dispose of it properly at an
approved disposal site.
– Remove the inner side plate –

: Blow the valve (1) clear with
compressed air (from outside to
inside of tank).
– Flush out the oil tank.
Reassemble in the reverse
sequence.

11.2.2 Replacing

– Remove the oil tank cap.
– Drain the oil tank.
Collect chain oil in a clean container
or dispose of it properly at an
approved disposal site.
– Remove the inner side plate –
b 5.5.2
: Use a 6 mm drift to carefully drive
the valve out of its seat and into
the oil tank.
– Remove the old valve from the oil
tank.
Reassemble in the reverse
sequence.
: Carefully insert the new valve in
the housing bore from outside.
Check the correct installed position.
