Flushing

Flushing
To avoid fire and explosion, always ground equipment
and waste container. To avoid static sparking and
injury from splashing, always flush at the lowest
possible pressure. Hot solvent may ignite. To avoid
fire and explosion:
Flush equipment only in a well-ventilated area
Ensure main power is off and heater is cool before
flushing
Do not turn on heater until fluid lines are clear of
solvent
Flush if you will be shut down for more than 3 days.
Flush more often if material is moisture sensitive
and humidity is high in the storage area, or if
material may separate or settle out over time.
For long term storage, flush out the solvent with a
storage fluid or, at minimum, clean motor oil
Flush with a fluid that is compatible with the fluid
being dispensed and the equipment wetted parts.
Always leave some type of fluid in system. Do not
use water.
1. Engage piston safety lock or trigger safety lock.
