Troubleshooting

Reactor Electronics

Before performing any troubleshooting procedures:
1. Shut off Heater Power.
PROBLEM
Temperature display
does not illuminate.
Erratic display;
display turns on and
off.
Display does not
respond properly to
button pushes.
Fan not working.

CAUSE
Display disconnected.
Display cable damaged or corroded. Clean the connections; replace the cable if it is
Blown fuse.
Failed circuit board.
Loose display cables on control
board.
Failed control board (displays get
power from control board).
Inadequate power to control board.
Loose power cable.
Heater power switch circuit breaker
tripped.
Low voltage.
Poor display connection.
Display cable damaged or corroded. Clean connections; replace the cable if is damaged.
Poor display connection.
Display cable damaged or corroded. Clean connections, F
Ribbon cable on display circuit board
disconnected or broken.
Broken display button.
Loose wire.
Defective fan.
2. Shut off Motor Power.
3. Relieve the pressure. Follow Pressure Relief
Procedure, page 24.
4. Allow the equipment to cool.
5. Try the recommended solutions in the order given
for each problem to avoid unnecessary repairs.
Also, determine that all circuit breakers, switches,
and controls are properly set and wiring is correct
before assuming there is a problem.
SOLUTION
Check the cable connections, F
damaged.
Replace the fuse (73) in the fuse holder on the DIN
rail assembly located under the electronics cover
(55).
The display is failing. Replace.
Check the cable connections to each display, F
23 on page 71.
Remove the access panel. Check if board LED is
lighted. If not, replace the board. See Motor
Control, page 44.
Check that the power supply meets requirements.
Check the cable connections, F
Display is powered from heater power circuit
breaker. Cycle heater power off
to reset breaker.
Ensure the input voltage is within specifications, ,
page 73.
Check the cable connections, F
Replace the damaged cable.
Check the cable connections, F
Replace the damaged cable.
