installation, adjustment or service of any heater controls.
Failure to do so may result in board damage, heater
malfunction, property damage, personal injury, or death.
A
CAUTION: This appliance has provisions to be
connected to more than one supply source. To reduce the
risk of electric shock, disconnect all such connections
before servicing.
A
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock: More than one
disconnect switch may be required to de-energize the
equipment before servicing.
Motorized Isolation Valve (Shipped Loose)
Refer to Figure 46 and Figure 47.
The heater is equipped with a relay output to control an
isolation valve as follows:
Heater output energized = Isolation valve CLOSED
Heater output de-energized = Isolation valve OPEN
The operation above may be manually adjusted by
manually inverting the operation of the isolation valve and
using the opposite dry contact of the relay output.
24VAC supply voltage for the isolation valve actuation is
also available at the rear of the heater in the wiring box,
next to the isolation valve relay output.

correctly may damage the heater/system pump causing
non-warrantable failures.

Variable-Speed Pump Signal
The XFiire products are equipped with an analog output
that is proportional to the firing rate of the heater. This
0-20mA signal is intended to be used for an external
Variable-Speed pump as part of a Primary/Secondary
piping system. See Figure 47.
This output can also be configured for 0 -10 VDC using
an appropriate resistor connected in parallel between the
output terminals. Easy access to the terminals can be
found at the rear of the unit in the wiring box. See Figure 3.
