Oilequalising tank
The oilequalising tank ensures the appropriate volumetric compensation, when the volume of oil
increases with temperature.
5.2.9
Bellows
The bellows protects the teeth of the insert shaft and thus the interior of the helicalgear unit against
contamination. The air outlet is through a bore in the face collar of the shaft coupling.
5.2.10 Limit switch (optional)
Above the helicalgear unit are two limit switches for switching the bevelgear motor (electric motor II) OFF
in an EMERGENCY.
The unit is delivered loose and must be fitted by the system constructor before startup. It must be precisely
positioned by the system constructor before startup and regularly inspected.

5.2.11 Shaft coupling and limitswitch plate (optional)
The shaft coupling connects the output shaft of the lautertun drive to the shaft of the spentgrain cutting
machine by a friction fit. The limitswitch plate actuates the EMERGENCYOFF limit switch. The
limitswitch plate is placed between the contact faces of the shaft and the shaft coupling.
The shaft coupling and the limitswitch plate are delivered loose and must be fitted by the system
constructor before startup.
5.2.12 Frequency inverter (optional)
The bevelgear motors can be set by means of frequency inverters. This enables the rotation speed of the
drive shaft to be adjusted to requirement during cutting and removal of the spent grain.
