Water tank

Depending on the model, the water tank holds between 97 l and 122 l.
For driving safety and for regulatory reasons, when the vehicle is motion
the fill quantity must be reduced. If the water is drained using the safety
drainage handle (see section 11.2.4), a residual quantity of approximately
20 litres will remain in the water tank.

The drinking water filler neck is on the right or left side of the vehicle,
depending on the model.
The drinking water filler neck is indicated by the symbol "
cap is opened and closed using the key for the external flap locks.
Insert key into locking cylinder (Fig. 96,2) and turn a quarter turn in an anti-
clockwise direction.
Remove cap.
Fill the water tank with drinking water.
Place the cap on the drinking water filler neck.
Turn key one quarter turn in a clockwise direction.
Remove the key.
Check that the cap sits firmly on the drinking water filler neck.

Filling the water system

When filling the water tank, observe the maximum permissible gross
weight of the vehicle. Luggage must be reduced accordingly when the
water tank is full.
The water pump will overheat without water and can get damaged after one
minute at the latest. Never operate water pump when the water tank is
empty.
The water quantity can be monitored on the panel while the water tank is
filled.
