Protecting your hearing
(AVLS)
The AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter
System) function keeps down the
maximum volume to protect your ears.

On the recorder

Press the jog dial, turn the dial until
"OPTION" flashes in the display, and
then press the dial again.

Turn the jog dial until "AVLS"
flashes in the display, and then press
the dial.

Turn the jog dial until "AVLS ON"
flashes in the display, and then press
the dial.
When you try to turn the volume too
high, "AVLS" appears in the display.
The volume is kept to a moderate
level.

On the remote control

Press DISPLAY for 2 seconds or
more.

N> until "OPTION" flashes in
the display, and then press x.

To cancel the AVLS
Select "AVLS OFF" in step 3 on the
recorder, and then press the jog dial.
Select "AVLS OFF" in step 4 on the
remote control, and then press x.
