Searching for a specific point
while monitoring the elapsed
time (Time Search)
To do a time search, do the procedures of
"Selecting the search mode" and select
"Time" in step 3.
On the recorder

Press X while playing a disc.
The playback will pause.

Keep pressing . or > until the
desired point appears in the display.

Press X to cancel the pause.
Playback starts from the selected
point.
On the remote control

Press X while playing a disc.
The playback will pause.

Turn and hold the control towards
. or N> until the desired
point appears in the display.

Press X to cancel the pause.
Playback starts from the selected
point.

• If you do the procedures while the recorder is
shuffling the tracks, shuffle play starts from
the track that you selected.
• If you reach the first or the last track on the
disc while turning the jog dial or the control
during a time search, the recorder will pause
at beginning of the first track or the last track,
respectively.
Using the Group
Function (Group mode)
The recorder can operate various
playback with a disc which has group
setting. For more information on the
group mode, see "Recording tracks using
the Group Function (Group mode
recording)" (page 30).

Insert a disc which has group settings
into the recorder and play the disc.

Press GROUP for 2 seconds or more.
" " and "GROUP ON" light up in
the display and the group mode turns
on.
Playback stops at the end of the last
track in the selected group.
