HOP system to play only the mailbox owner's messages saved in base memory. It
does not play messages saved on expansion memory.
3. Delete unnecessary voice and fax messages. This frees base memory.
As mailbox owners free base memory, check the size of available base memory, as described
in Section 6.4.2 on page 6-4. When sufficient base memory is available, mailbox owners can
stop deleting messages.

Requesting a Remote Software Upgrade

If your HOP system is not set to country code 1, you followed the instructions in Sec-
tion 6.4 on page 6-3. Your HOP system is still in remote upgrade mode.
To obtain a remote software upgrade:
1. Contact your service provider.
2. Tell the service provider which number to call for the remote software upgrade.
If the service provider calls the human attendant, specify whether the designated ex-
tension to which the call will be transferred is associated with the auto attendant or a
mailbox.
If the service provider calls the designated extension, specify whether the extension is
associated with the auto attendant or a mailbox.
The service provider can now start the upgrade.

Remote Upgrade Process

The HOP system is not available during the upgrade process.
The remote upgrade process consists of two steps:
1. Transferring the upgrade software from the sending disk to the HOP base memory. Base
memory is explained in Section 6.3 on page 6-3.
2. Replacing the current HOP software with the upgrade.
