Using the PC Interface

This chapter applies to HOP and HOP E systems.
5.1

Starting an Interactive Session

The PC interface displays "normal output"—a report on incoming and outgoing calls, and mes-
sage waiting indicators (MWIs)—until you start an interactive session.
To start an interactive session:
1. Press ENTER. This interrupts the normal output and displays the start-up menu. The nor-
mal output remains blocked until the interactive session is ended.
The default language of the start-up menu depends on the country code to which your Of-
fice PhoneMail system is set. In the example shown in Figure 5-1, the country code is set
to 1 and the start-up menu appears in English.
Enter the administration password, then press [Enter].
To change language, press [*] followed by [Enter].

2. Only if you want to change the default language, press asterisk (*), then press ENTER. The
language option menu appears (see Figure 5-2).
Select from the following menu:
[1] English
[2] Deutsch
[*] Return to the previous menu
