1-1-5 Attach the Document Tray
Position the Document Tray with the side containing the metal bracket up, and snap the holes in the
tray over the posts in the upper-back part of the Main Body. Flip the metal bracket up to support
documents.
When you are not using your SF 2200 to send documents, you may fold down the metal bracket and
close the Document Tray over the Document Guide. This will held keep dust and foreign objects out of
your SF 2200.
1-1-6 Connect the Power
Connect the power cord to the socket next to the on/off switch. Plug the other end of the cord into a
properly grounded, three-pin.
AC power outlet.
1-1-7 Turn the power " On "
Press the power switch to turn your SF 2200 on.
When you turn the power on, SYSTEM INITIAL appears briefly in the display W i n d o w. After a
moment, the time, data, and current mode are displayed. (If these are not correct, don't worry - you will
change this information in a moment, using the Control Panel. )
Your SF 2200 is now in its "standby" mode.
You may leave your SF 2200 on and in standby mode 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
If nothing appears in the Window :
• Make sure the power cord is properly connected and plugged into the wall socket.
• Make sure the wall socket is " live" and not switched off by a wall switch or a blown fuse.
