4. Apply the AF function to the image, use either of the ways below:

• Apply the AF function to the whole scan frame.
Click the Auto Focus tool in the Toolbar. Move the mouse cursor to the scan
frame, then click and drag the AF frame to cover the scan frame. The AF frame
will be bordered in red and labeled with the tag "AF".
In this case, the AF frame and the scan frame are overlapping around the entire
image, and display in the Preview window.
• Apply the AF function to a specific area of the scan frame.
Click the Auto Focus tool in the Toolbar. Move the mouse cursor to the scan
frame, then click and drag the AF frame to desired size/area in the scan frame to
which the AF function will be applied. The AF frame will be bordered in red
lines and labeled with the tag "AF".
Note: The AF frame works only in the area defined by the Scan Frame tool.
