These ports can be used for triggering and feedback associated with the selected input,
for contact-based input switching, and for other triggered functions such as CEC display
control or video mute. These ports are typically used with Extron Show Me cables or with
external equipment (such as the Extron CCB 30) to control IN1804 functions, depending on

The input switches as the corresponding contact port is activated.
The IN1804 sends an unsolicited SIS response out of its control ports when a contact
port is activated so that an external control system can trigger events. In this case,
the IN1804 uses a separate SIS command that an external control system can use to

Contact/Tally ports 5 through 7 are configurable via PCS to enable functions such as
unit-specific commands, CEC actions, RS-232 commands, etc..)
To configure input switching via contact closure:
1.
Connect contact input and tally output devices to one or more of the 2-pole Contact/
Tally connectors (see figure 12,
To enable input switching via contact closure, connect a push-button contact
closure input device to pins
To identify the currently selected input, connect an indicator device, such as an
LED, to tally output pin
When the input you are using is selected, the corresponding tally out pin shorts to
ground, which activates the connected indicator.
