13. To test the Drive Belt tension:
Push the Drive Belt inward at the midpoint between the pulleys and
measure the distance. The Drive Belt should have only 0.25" (0.64
cm) of give.
Or:
Hold the edges of the Drive Belt at the midpoint and twist it. The
Drive Belt should turn only 90 degrees (1/4 turn, to vertical).
If the tension is too loose or too tight, adjust the Tensioner Nut on the
Tensioner Bolt.
14. When the tension is correct, tighten the Tensioner Hardware to hold
the Tensioner in position.
15. Carefully turn the Right Crank Arm and check the movement of the
Drive Belt. The Crank Arms and Flywheel should move as one.
Be sure to keep fingers clear of all pinch hazards when you
!
turn the Right Crank Arm.
Adjust the belt tension again if necessary.
16. Re-assemble the machine in the reverse order of when the parts
were removed.
17. Final Inspection
Inspect your machine to ensure that all hardware is tight and components
are properly assembled.
Do not use until the machine has been fully assembled and
inspected for correct performance in accordance with the
Owner's Manual.
