10. Turn the Drive Pulley clockwise while forcing the Drive Belt to the
outside to remove it. The belt will come off of the Drive Pulley.
Keep fingers out of any pinch hazards when turning the
Pulleys.
11. Remove the old Drive Belt after noting how to properly route the new
Drive Belt.
12. Put the new Drive Belt onto the Drive Pulley. Make sure the Drive Belt
is aligned on the Flywheel Pulley, Belt Tensioner and Drive Pulley.
13. To test the Drive Belt tension:
• Push the Drive Belt downward at the midpoint between the pulleys
and measure the distance. The Drive Belt should have only 0.25"
(0.64 cm) of give.
Or:
• Hold the edges of the Drive Belt at the midpoint and twist it. The
Drive Belt should turn only 90 degrees (1/4 turn, to vertical).
If the tension is correct, go to Step 18.
If the tension is too loose or too tight, adjust the nut and bolt on the
Tensioner Bracket (Idler Assembly).
14. Using a 6mm hex wrench, loosen the Tensioner Hardware.
15. Adjust the Tensioner Nut on the Tensioner Bolt using a 10mm open
end wrench.
16. When the tension is correct, tighten the Tensioner Hardware to hold
the Tensioner Bracket in position.
