6. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the indicated screws (by ovals)
from the Left Upper Engine Shroud.
Note: The Power Inlet is attached to the inside of the Left Upper Engine
Shroud. Do not crimp the Power Inlet Cable.
7. Remove the Left Upper Engine Shroud.
8. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the 4 screws that attach each
of the Lower Engine Shrouds, and remove them.
9. To test the Drive Belt tension:
Push the Drive Belt inward at the midpoint between the pulleys and
measure the distance. The Drive Belt should have only 0.25" (0.64
cm) of give.
Or:
Hold the edges of the Drive Belt at the midpoint and twist it. The
Drive Belt should turn only 90 degrees (1/4 turn, to vertical).
If the tension is correct, go to Step 14.
If the tension is too loose or too tight, adjust the nut and bolt on the
Tensioner Bracket (Idler Assembly).
