Fuel Preparation/Fuel Injection
K - If the specification is not achieved, connect
the multimeter between contact 1 of the
connector at the wiring loom and earth.
- Start engine.
Specification: approx. battery voltage
- If the specification is not achieved:
Test cable from contact 1 to fuse for open
circuit or short circuit to earth.
If the cable to the fuse and the fuse are o.k.,
test fuel pump relay ⇒ page 01-12, Final control
diagnosis.
- If no fault is found in the wiring, fuse or relay,
measure resistance between contact 2 of the
connector at the wiring loom and earth.
Specification: max. 1 .
Testing lambda probe signal wire
and actuation
Note:
The lambda probe signal is monitored by the
self-diagnosis.
- Interrogate fault memory ⇒ page 01-4.
- If a lambda probe fault is displayed and if
the lambda probe heater is o.k., separate
plug connection for lambda probe.
K - Use the multimeter (set to range 2 V) to carry
out a voltage measurement between contacts
3 and 4 of the connector at the wiring loom.
- Switch on ignition.
Specification: 450 ± 50 mV.
