Fuel Preparation/Fuel Injection
Continuation of test if readout is ambient
temperature:
K -
Remove the intake air temperature sender
with intake manifold pressure sender (the
connector remains plugged in).
-
Note the intake air temperature shown in
display block 4.

Spray the sender with a commercially
available refrigeration spray and observe the
temperature readout. The temperature
readout should drop.

Press the → key.
-
Press keys 0 and 6 for the function „End data
transfer" and confirm the entry with the key Q.

Vehicle system tester V.A.G 1552 with cable
V.A.G 1551/3
Test box V.A.G 1598/22
Hand-held multimeter, e.g. V.A.G 1526 A or
multimeter V.A.G 1715
Adapter cable set V.A.G 1594 A
Current flow diagram
Test conditions
l Battery voltage at least 11 V
l Alternator o.k.
K l Fuses 10 and 29 o.k.
Test procedure
-
Connect vehicle system tester V.A.G 1552
and select engine electronics control unit with
the address word 01. The engine should be
running at idling speed for this step.
