Testing ignition transformer

Special tools, testers and aids required
♦ Hand-held multimeter V.A.G 1526 A or
multimeter V.A.G 1715
♦ Adapter cable set V.A.G 1594 A
Test procedure
- Unplug the connector and ignition cable from
the ignition transformer (N152).
K - Test the primary resistance between termi-
nals 1 and 15.
Specification: 0.5...1.2
- Test the secondary resistance between ter-
minals 4 and 15.
Specification: 3...4 k
If the specifications are not achieved:
- Replace the ignition transformer
