The service mode of this machine consists of the following seven
modes which can be operated by means of the keys on the control
panel.
1. Maintenance Mode
2. Diagnosis Mode
3. Paper Setting Mode
4. Test Print Mode
5. Adjustment Mode
6. Aging Mode
7. NVRAM Mode
Start Up Method
1. Switch on the power while pressing the "ON LINE" and
"PAUSE" keys at the same time. A warning beep sounds for
about nine seconds. In this state, release "ON LINE" and
"PAUSE" keys.
2. The display changes to "01 OFF LINE" and the printer enters
service mode.
3. Press the "MENU" key. The display changes to "MAINTE-
NANCE" which allows you to select various modes.
Operating Method
1. In "MAINTENANCE" have the desired mode displayed using
the "<" and ">" keys.
Pressing the "ENTER" key puts the machine in the displayed
mode.
2. In the displayed mode have the desired menu item displayed
using the "<" and ">" keys.
Pressing the "ENTER" key executes the processing.
3. Pressing the "ON LINE" key returns the display to "01 OFF
LINE".
Ending
There are two ways of ending service mode.
a. By turning the power switch off.
b. By operating the undermentioned function keys, return to
normal mode.
1. In each mode, press the "ON LINE" key. The menu display
returns to the "OFF LINE" state.
2. In this state, when the "STOP" key is kept pressed, a warning
beep sounds for about three seconds after which "SHUTTING
DOWN" is displayed, and the machine will go into normal
initializing operation.
