Printing Problems

Printer has missing or
damaged parts.
Printer seems to be
printing, but no
characters are printing.
Power is on, but no
action from the printer.
Unexpected characters
are printed or characters
are missing.
Printer prints very slowly.
Fonts selected using data
stream commands do
not print.
Page does not print.

Solution
Call Samsung Technical Support or contact your point of
purchase.
Make sure a print cartridge has been installed.
Make sure the tape was removed from the print
cartridge.
Make sure the printer has paper.
If ÔINK OUTÕ is displayed, install a new print cartridge.
See ÔReplacing the Print CartridgeÕ on page 7.10.
Make sure the paper load lever is in the closed position.
Make sure the printer interface cable is firmly inserted
into the interface connector at the back of your machine.
Make sure the correct printer driver is installed in
Windows or in your DOS application.
Change the parallel interface cable.
Change print quality from LQ (Letter Quality) to
DRAFT.
Graphics print more slowly than text.
Color prints more slowly than black.
Make sure a black print cartridge is installed.
Make sure the font is valid for the mode selected.
Make sure you have not exceeded 32 fonts for the page.
You cannot specify more than 32 fonts per page.
Some extremely complicated page formats may not be
printable on the printer. If you are using more than 32
fonts or if you are printing complex graphics, you can
experience this problem. Simplify your page or choose
less fonts.
