2. Remove the screw and the appropriate expansion slot cover.
3. Touch the static-protective package containing the adapter to any
unpainted metal surface in the computer; then, remove the adapter from
the package.
4. Install the adapter and screw it into place.
Adapters supported by your computer use Plug and Play technology, which
enables the computer to automatically configure the adapter. For more
information, see "Updating the computer configuration" on page 83.
What to do next
Go to the device-record form in Appendix C, "Computer records"
on page 147 and write the adapter name next to the slot into which
you installed it.
