Function Overview

Protection Function voltage
Overvoltage:
The highest value of the three phases is above a given
threshold.
The warning - and trip thresholds as well as the according
delays can be set.
Undervoltage:
The lowest value of the three phases is below a given
threshold.
The warning - and trip thresholds as well as the according
delays can be set.
Voltage Dip:
Low voltage situation which requires an
autonomous load sheeding
handling should take place in the UMC.
Phase loss:
In opposite to the current based phase loss protection
function this function detects a missing phase also in the
case the motor is stopped.
A warning / trip can be signalled before the motor is actually
started i.e. to detect a blown fuse.
Voltage imbalance:
This function can be used to detect smaller voltage
imbalances between the phases.
Warning - and trip thresholds as well as warning - and trip
delays can be set.
Total harmonic distortion:
This function measures harmonic distortions in the
connected mains.
Overload:
The active power drawn by the motor is too high. The
warning - and trip thresholds as well as the according delays
can be set.
Underload:
The active power drawn by the motor is too low. The
warning - and trip thresholds as well as the according delays
can be set.
Cos phi:
A measure of the phase angle between voltage and current.
The warning - and trip thresholds as well as the according
delays can be set.
