Installing and removing an accessible 5 1/4-inch drive

Open the casing (see "Opening the casing").
Removing an accessible 5 1/4-inch drive

If you do not want to install a new drive, you must refit the plastic drive cover again (see
"Installing plastic drive cover").
Close the casing (see "Closing the casing").
Installing an accessible 5 1/4-inch drive
Make the required settings on the new drive.
If necessary, install the corresponding plastic drive cover (see "Installing plastic drive cover").

Close the casing (see "Closing the casing").

It may be necessary to modify the entry for the drive in the BIOS Setup.

Remove the two screws (1) and pull the
drive slightly forward (2).
Remove the connector of the data and
power cables from the drive.
Remove the drive the direction of the arrow
(2) out of the bay.
Slide the new drive somewhat into its bay of
the drive cage.
Attach the connector of the data and power
cables at the drive.
Attach the data cable to the mainboard (see
manual of mainboard).
Push the drive fully into the bay (1) and
secure it with the two screws (2).
